Top Alternative Diets

Many alternative diets are based around the notion that you can get healthy by consuming or rejecting certain food items. They suggest that a change in eating along with physical activity patterns can boost fitness levels, and some promote an overall healthy lifestyle while others are health condition specific. The Ornish program is one such diet which was developed with heart disease in mind.
The diet is extremely low fat and pure vegetarian. Observers of this diet are allowed to consume only 15% of their calories from fat, and eat fiber rich foods. The diet also promotes regular physical activity. The Rotation Diet is another alternative diet that is specifically meant for people who are somewhat allergic to certain food items. This diet advices people to eat foods that they are not allergic to, on a 4 day rotation basis.
